Nintendo 3DS First Impressions

I managed to get a short session with the new Nintendo 3DS at a local game store, read on for my first impression of the console itself, the built in software and Super Street Fighter IV as well as my opinion on the much debated price tag.

2000AD Prog 1725: Destroyer of Worlds!

A Review of 2000AD Prog 1725 (released March 16 2011.) After gushing over Liam Sharps cover last week I thought it would be a while before we saw anything of the same calibre, but Henry Flint really delivers and I strongly suggest you to click for a full resolution image over on 2000AD covers uncovered.

Nue (Japanese Chimera)

I've been quiet over the last few days, but I have been busy, honest. I've been playing D&D through MapTools and working on my project previously mentioned here, as promised here is a sneak peak. I must admit I'm no expert on Epic Tier play and this is in no way a final product so feedback would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to use any of this that appeals but please link back to this site if you redistribute. Art by Nana Takeda, a full resolution image can be found here although the quality of the photo doesn't do it justice.

2000ad Prog 1724. Flesh Is Back!

Review of 2000AD Prog 1724 (released 9th of March 2011) Finally Flesh is here and I’ve been anxious to sink my teeth into it since the teaser image popped up in the Prog a month or so ago. Read on to see if was worth the excitement and you can see the full wraparound cover by clicking on the image below.

Yokai & Kami: A Bestiary of Japanese Folklore

Another project I'm working on alongside my take on the 4E Shinbo Class. I'll probably aim to roll them out alongside one another but will only cover Heroic tier for the Shinobi initially. As it stands for this new project I'm looking to include somewhere in the region of 40-50 monsters and several example encounters covering all tiers of play. Provided I can get the technology I need working I'll be posting some sample art and a statistic block in the next couple of days.

D&D Points of Light Session 1

2 of the players arrived half an hour late and one had to keep popping out to take important phone calls in the first 15mins. The 4th and final player was running another 30minutes late. Starting a new campaign, especially with first time players is a tough job at the best of times... Read on to see how I managed to get things back on track and see if the game was a success in the end.
Pregen characters on simplified sheets made teaching on the fly a breeze.
